This is a web site for the contribution of D1 Primary Class of Pentalofos to the eTwinning project "Embracing art" and to all collaborative activities. The project was formed by the founder of the project Cristina Grau so that the activities, working groups e.c.t. are formed by the collaborating educators, thus promoting cooperation between us from the initial stage and throughout the implementation. Partners-educators exchange ideas, propose and agree on activities through video conferences and wiki pages in the TwinSpace platform.
General Information Embracing Art is implementing during the school year 2017-2018. "Every country can propose just two pieces of art (from two artists from their country) with the name of the artist and the piece of art. Every partner will have two things to do with these two pieces of art: 1- Find information about the artist and create a power point or similar with it (later we will see if it is possible to cooperate and create a best research mixing the power points of every partner and just creating a new one with info from all of them). 2- Reproduce the piece of art in the most creative way possible, explaining to all partners how did you do that, so, all of us will learn from other partners, and it will be a challenge to be more creatives. We will add all results in our twinspace, in a folder to each painter, so, all works from all partners will be located in the same folder, just depending on the painter. And we’ll have a global vision of creativity possibilities from a concret piece of art. We will regulary be in touch and see our progress on twinspace." Cristina Grau
Information on D1 Primary Class of Pentalofos framework We are using Artful thinking pallete and thinking routines (pzartfulthinking.org/) to approach each piece of art.
The pupils are going to: - participate in the creation of our project's collaborative logo and collaborative song - decide each week which painting they will reproduce and what materials they will use. They will work in small groups or indinidually - watch and discuss their partners work and share with their partners their thoughts, ideas and feelings on each painting in TwinSpace Forum - participate in TwinSpace Live Events to meet and discuss with their partners - do webquests on each painter and contribute to the collaborative creation of biographies. If possible, they will work in transnational groups - write small stories, lyrics, sing their songs and create theatrical events on some of the paintings proposed, with the assistance of Eftihia Kavalika (music teacher and TwinSpace Visitor) and their class teacher,
and anything else that will emerge during the implementation of the project.
